Coyote

So, today out on my hike, as I reached about the 2.5 mile marker up in Tilden Park, I saw the two ladies coming towards me pointing at something to my left.  So, I looked and there was a Coyote standing there very intently looking at something, probably a gopher or ground hog, getting ready to pounce.  It was really pretty cool and the three of us stood there and watched it for a while.  It was probably the first time I'd seen a wild animal that's a predator in the wild since I was in Africa.

So, today I went up to Tilden park to do the six-mile loop trail that I like to do starting at Inspiration Point.  I've been hiking it for years and it usually takes me about two hours.  But, I haven't really done it (and timed it) since I've been back from my travels so today I timed myself and I've shaved 20 minutes off my time!  Not too shabby hey?
